CAMEO CINEMA
For over a century, the best seat in town.
Founded in 1913, St. Helena’s Cameo Cinema is California's oldest continuously operated single-screen movie theater. Today, this movie theater remains an integral part of our town’s experience and lifestyle. Over the past 13 years, owner Cathy Buck has infused this classic ‘movie palace’ with Napa Valley’s legendary style and hospitality. With her pioneering spirit she has brought the theater into the 21st Century, installing the latest innovative cinema technology and crafting a world-class film experience, equal to any great movie house, anywhere in the world. “I thought I was just going to go to the movies and pop the popcorn. It turned out to be the hardest job in the world”
Cathy Buck

“Cathy has worked tirelessly to find a formula for a single screen theater to survive in this age of multiplexes.”

The Cameo Cinema Foundation
The non-profit Cameo Cinema Foundation (CCF) is an alliance of patrons, donors, and local businesses, whose mission is to safeguard this historic theater, and to ensure that it continues to entertain, educate and inspire the Napa Valley for generations to come. The key to the Cameo Cinema's continued success is enriched programming and philanthropic dollars. Not just an occasional capital campaign, but your generous annual support of the CCF for community programming, special events, and fun new ideas. Tickets and concessions cover only a portion of the Theater's expenses and the Foundation must cover all Community Programming costs. Your 100% tax deductible contribution will ensure that we can continue to preserve and operate this beloved movie theater, so please make a generous donation today!
