One of the highlights of the Family Film Festival is the Red Carpet Screening and Awards for our student filmmakers. This year will be our 10th competition for elementary, middle and high school students in Napa, Sonoma and Lake counties. Their films come in all genres from documentaries to comedies. We screen all entries at the Film Festival and reward winners in each age group with prizes and screenings of their winning film at the Cameo Cinema. Our favorite event each and every year! FINAL DATE TO SUBMIT IS MAY 11, 2019
Friends of the Cameo (FOC) has created an awesome filmmaking opportunity for local students. For the third year, we are offering a five-day documentary film camp for high school students.
The camp will be held on the Pacific Union College (PUC) campus in Angwin, California. The Friends of the Cameo Documentary Camp will take place June 24 - 28. This camp offers a hands-on opportunity to explore the art of filmmaking in a fun, educational, safe and inclusive environment. We focus on students working together and developing the skills to produce their own films and recognizing their own voice.
