We know that the phenomena of cognitive and sensory illusions are responsible for the "magic" of a magic trick—so why does it still work?

the illusionist

Our film, the Oscar-Nominated The Illusionist, blurs the line between truth and illusion in turn-of-the century Vienna.  A stage magician uses his magic to win back the great love of his life from a brutal enemy, her fiancé, who is also the powerful crown prince of Austria.  The Illusionist (2010) PG | 1h 20min

Wonderfest aspires to stimulate curiosity, promote careful reasoning, challenge unexamined beliefs, and encourage life-long learning.

Robert Strong
